Nicole Robelo joined the Agricultural and Resource Economics Department at North Carolina State University in the summer of 2016. A native Californian, she moved to North Carolina in February 2016 after returning from a five month teaching English program in Chile. Prior to living in South America, Nicole worked as an academic department administrator at a private art and design university in San Francisco.
She continues to utilize her professional experience working in a variety of academic settings through her role as an Office Coordinator for ARE. Her position consists of orchestrating department events; supporting department communications; maintaining the daily operations of the office; and assisting students, faculty and staff with a variety of needs.
Nicole’s own academic background is from San Diego State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Communication,with a minor in Sociology. She was a member of SDSU Forensics, also known as the Speech and Debate team, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain as part of a Spanish immersion program through San Diego State.
